According to an AFC Wimbledon fan at work Ismail was instrumental in their promotion out of the conference a few years back. AFC fans loved "the Yak" - worked hard, big smile but more injury prone than Ed A-A apparently!

As I said, a centre half was on his way, they are determined to sort things out at the back. A couple more and we will be just about there.

Attacker Alex Osborn joins from Whitehawk. David Moyo in from Brackley. 18 goals in 91 appearances for them - he ain't no Robbo but good luck to him.

Squad is looking like this now:

Laurie Walker

Kyle Connolly
Joe Howe
Callum Driver
Tom Hamblin
Phil Walsh
Ed Asafu-Ajaye
Ismail Yakubu

James Kaloczi
Jonathan McNamara
Jordan Parkes
Matt Saunders
Taylor Miles

Ben Greenhalgh
Alex Osborn
David Moyo

Anybody know what's happening with the academy lads that played in the first team last season, Brad Singh etc?

I'm guessing the acadamy lads will be there or thereabouts this season. Still think we look light up front :?

As would be sensible, I'll take a reserved judgement until we see the fruits of our recruitment. On paper it looks good though, so plenty of reason for optimism
